Monstera Thai Constellation

Monstera Deliciosa

A Rare Beauty

The trendy Monstera “Thai Constellation” is one of the most sought-after houseplants today. It’s exquisite, creamy variegated leaves (reminiscent of a starry night sky) has made it a social media darling. Thai Constellation Monstera was originally developed in Thailand and is propagated through cuttings. Its difficulty to replicate consistently on a large scale, in addition to its popularity, have made it a rare delight.

Due to its variegation Monstera Thai Constellation requires special care. The lack of chlorophyll which causes the white patterns on its leaves make it sensitive to sunburn, and therefore it should be kept in bright and indirect sunlight. The top of the soil should be allowed to dry out slightly between waterings, but not completely (about once per week). Like other Monsteras, Thai Constellation thrives in humid areas. It likes to climb and would benefit from the support of a moss pole or trellis as it grows, and more fenestrations (holes) in the leaves will appear as the plant matures.

Thai Constellation Monsteras should be allowed to acclimate to their new environment for at least a month before repotting.
