Hens and Chicks get their name from the fact that they tend to grow in clusters, with small 'chicks' connected the larger 'hens' or mother plants by underground runners. These small and cheerful succulents grow in a variety of shades from light green to deep red. Some varieties even change colour depending on how much light they receive. Like other succulents, they are notoriously drought-tolerant and easy to care for.
